I came to the store with a neighbor, who is older, I myself partially disabled. Uncertain how to do this , Crystal happened to be helping another customer outside; which we called her to see if she could help. After helping the other customer, she proceeded to help with a 15 pound box to return back . Along with that my neighbor as well needed help with her return. She helped with accessing the site needed to process everything. I'm very happy with Crystal's courtesy n willingness to help both of us. I've used this store few times without any glitches . I look forward in the future to continue using the store for my needs. It's was a most pleasurable experience along with her pretty fingernails. Keep up the good training along with hiring these employees.

Very disappointing experience: my order was not completed on time and I was asked to come back the next day. I called the next morning to ensure my order was complete, which I was assured over the phone that it was, but upon arriving to the store it was not finished printing. Upon printing completion I was given the loose papers in a box, and when I asked for the binding and plastic covers I ordered and paid for to be added I was told they did not have the binding I purchased. I waited for 90 minutes for my order to be bound with an incorrect binding, without the plastic covers which I paid for, and then after I waited the owner, Dave, let me know I could have had it tape bound in 15 minutes instead. When I returned to the store later to have the print job corrected the owner argued about specifics and claimed I chose a coil binding, which was incorrect because I knew it would not fit. It’s no big deal, but frustrating it was argued over and I was called a liar. Upon this conversation with the owner to get the printing and binding corrected, I found the owner to be condescending toward me as a woman, I was shushed and told not to get upset. With this being my third visit to the store for basic printing I believe I was within reason to be cross. It was also uncomfortable to watch the owners young daughters (under 10) handling my materials which were an adult romance fantasy book including adult themes. I completely understand it’s around Christmas time, and I never want to be anything other than kind and patient. This was very frustrating.

Those working at UPS need adequate visuospatual skills, deductive reasoning, general math and geometry skills in order to make appropriate packing recommendations, keep costs manageable for customers and provide excellent service. They also need understanding of the shipping process and adequate communication and customer service skills. Managers need to step in if an employee is failing at any of the above. Unless the manager/owner wants to make extra money by allowing errors such as employees calculating the need for larger boxes than necessary...which cause shipping to double. Also, kiosks that do not allow scanning of codes...which then need customers to pay an extra 5 dollars in order to email info to the store so they can print the label. AVOID this location at all costs...to your pocketbook. Go to Valpo. They gave an accurate estimate over the phone, gave recommendations, which saved me 75% from what Chesterton was going to charge me. Totally unbelievable experience! I usually avoid Google reviews, but this was ungodly.I wish I could post a photo of my box contents taking up 1/3 of the space in the box the employee said would barely hold the contents...AVOID!!!!

I shipped a package through the UPS Store at 709-2 Plaza Dr, Chesterton IN 46304. The package was never delivered. UPS Store never returned my calls and never contacted me. After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, UPS told them they had filed a claim with the company that delivered their packages. I followed the progress on the UPS website using the tracking number. I returned to the UPS Store on 5/9/2023 after the claim information was no longer on the website. I got the owner’s phone number. I called and was told by the owner that unless I could present a receipt to the insurance company for the item shipped, I would only receive the cost of shipping in 4-5 weeks. The item was a handmade blanket made by a family friend. I waited but received nothing from the UPS Store. I called the owner again on 7/13/2023. He took the tracking number and said he would get back to me. I have heard nothing. Avoid this place! Other UPS stores have truthful owners who care about their customers. They do not charge you for a service, lose your items and then do nothing!

I pay in September a Finger Printing service and was schedule in this place. The person who does the finger printing was not there . They made us go another day and the person never show up. They said to go again scheduled and till this day is the middle of October we haven't been able to obtain the service. And the owner and the clerk only send us to this number that never answers to Sterling. They won't give me the $120 dollars I payed online yo receive service in this location. And they just wash their hands and tell is we have to solve it with the sterling services when they are the ones who didn't give the service we had already payed for. I recomend you never go here.
